The Smell of the Kill is dark comedy pitting three deliciously malicious wives against their miserable, self-absorbed husbands.
The story unfolds during a monthly dinner party the three couples have held for years. With their husbands in the other room, Nicky, Debra and Molly reveal to each other for the first time that all three marriages are on the brink of collapse for various reasons tied to the husbands. The plot thickens when the men accidentally lock themselves in a basement meat locker, presenting the women with the decision of a lifetime.
A smash on Broadway, the play has been described as a “deft little anti-love story … light-hearted and cold-hearted at the same time.”
