It’s ladies’ day out at Sugar Mountain on Saturday, July 22. Women are welcome to come develop and improve their mountain bike skills with two-time Collegiate National Champion Johanne Tyson. Camp is for ages 15 and older.
Cost/Registration: $225 with bike rental (includes full-face helmet and knee/shin & elbow pads); $175 without bike rental.
Full-face helmets and knee pads are required and can be rented at an additional cost. Personal mountain bikes should be in good working condition with good tires, brake pads and drivetrain. Disk brakes are required, full suspension is recommended.
Camp includes: full-day lift ticket and bike rental, professional downhill mountain bike instruction, lunch and a T-shirt.
Daily schedule
10 a.m. – Meet at the Sugar Mountain Resort SnowSports School
10-10:30 a.m. – Bike set-up/safety check
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Group instruction focusing on fundamentals
12:30-1:30 p.m. – Lunch
1:30-4:00 p.m. – Group instruction with more personalized instruction
*The camp is for all levels of ability; however, it is recommended that participant has ridden on mountain bike trails at least once before.*
