Sweet Charity explores the turbulent love life of Charity Hope Valentine, a romantic but comically unfortunate dance hall hostess in New York City.
Based on the hilarious book by Neil Simon and featuring a groovy, mid-1960s score by Cy Coleman, Sweet Charity captures all the energy, humor, and heartbreak of “life in the Big Apple” for an unfortunate, but irrepressible, optimist. Musical numbers include: “Big Spender,” “If My Friends Could See Me Now,” “I’m a Brass Band,” and “Baby, Dream Your Dream.”
Tickets for the each performance are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets are free for Lees-McRae students, faculty and staff.
