Music at Forum is a curated series of concerts held at Lees-McRae College. It was founded in 1979 by a group of residents to enhance the cultural arts experience each summer in Banner Elk.
Music at Forum’s 46th season continues with the return of a fan favorite, Western Piedmont Symphony. Based in Hickory, Western Piedmont Symphony performed at Forum for 11 years until 2020. This high-quality and diverse symphony returns under the direction of maestro Matthew Troy. He’s conducted orchestras across the country, including the North Carolina Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Portland Symphony and Greensboro Symphony.
WPS performs twice on June 30. The first show is at 5 p.m. and the second is at 7:30 p.m. Each show is ticketed separately and is one hour in length.
Single show tickets are $45 for adults and $12 for children 13 and younger. Season tickets are available for $175. Click here to purchase single show or season tickets.
